Whether it’s series, films or documentaries – streaming services are the modern way to watch TV. US media company Disney is well aware of this, which is why it pools all its popular film and series franchises and exclusive productions on its own central streaming platform Disney+. In September, visitors to Westfield Centro in Oberhausen and the Westfield Donau Zentrum in Vienna were able to experience the benefits of Disney+ at first hand as the company took up residence with its campaign stand for three days in each of the malls.

Disney characters on the big 360° screen

In the Mitteldom area at Westfield Centro and in the Panorama event area at Westfield Donau Zentrum, the campaign was placed right in the middle of things, making it easy to attract the attention of large numbers of curious visitors. In addition to large Disney+ logos on the stand, well-known heroes and characters from the studio’s latest hit films – such as Thor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Pinocchio from the remade classic – ensured a strong brand presence.

The promotion was accompanied by a multimedia campaign. In Oberhausen, Disney used the UDS 360° LED screen in the Mitteldom to promote the campaign and show clips from popular Disney+ films. In both Oberhausen and Vienna, Disney employed digital totems to attract visitors’ attention throughout the centres and to advertise the special promotional offers.

Attractive offers and streaming at the venues

During the period of the promotion, film fans of all ages were treated to special offers during ‘Disney+ Day’ on 8 September 2022. Multimedia stations equipped with screens and headphones enabled people to watch the latest Disney+ hits and browse through the streaming content. People wishing to take out a subscription right away were given a low introductory offer of just € 1.99 for the first trial month.

Naturally, there were also cool give-aways, with visitors to the campaign stand delighted to be given PopSockets mobile phone grips to take home with them.
